Meet the Director
Robin Adams is the founder and director of Digital Literacy Rocks! She has over 25 years of experience in for-profit and non-profit sectors in different industries. She spent 15 years in adult literacy, work readiness and self-sufficiency program planning and staff development.
Once you speak to her and tell her your goals, they become hers too.
Meet the Board
Erica Moon (Chairperson) is a licensed Realtor in the State of California and strives to help clients buy and sell quickly at the best possible rate. She has worked in the multifamily housing industry for more than 10 years and is experienced in both market rate and affordable housing communities and is the Property Manager at an upscale multi-dwelling residential unit in Solano County. Her management responsibilities include minimizing vacancies, maximizing rent collections, overseeing the budget and ensuring that fair housing practices are upheld. She has a passion for people and believes in service and the ideal that housing is a basic need that should be obtainable by all.
Corey Williams (Vice Chairperson), originally from New Orleans, moved to California as a young man where he began his education and grew up in the Bay Area. He is an enthusiastic reader, a talented musician and loves sharing his talents and dynamic vocal ability with his Church and wider community. He is passionate about encouraging and uplifting others and working with youth participating in our reading and leadership development program. He lives in Solano County with his wife of more than 18 years and their family. Corey is a journeyman painter by trade and has over 15 years’ experience in the Construction industry. We thank him for making our space at Town Center so beautiful!
David Huntoon (Treasurer) is a licensed, self-employed CPA and Financial Advisor and has been headquartered in Warwick, Rhode Island for more than 10 years. He was formerly a CPA with Leonelli & Vicario Ltd, KPMG and a Real Estate Broker with Abbott Properties and ReMax Preferred. David has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the RI Society of CPAS (RISCPA). He is associated with several non-profits including the RI Ovarian Cancer Alliance, Jess's Dream, Bethany Rose Cyr Memorial Foundation and has coached Little League, RI Babe Ruth Baseball and New England AAU Baseball for 8 years.
Barbara Bowen (Director) is an independent Literacy Consultant. A former public educator in all grades K-12 as well as community college and adult education. She brings years of experience to curriculum planning, instruction, assessments and teacher training. She holds a Master of Science in Reading Education, and has (for 36 years) instructed students of all ages in New York, Maryland and Rhode Island. She contracts with state and regional programs for literacy development, and makes time for a number of personal interests including gardening, traveling and church.
Kathy Hart (Director) joined the Skills Center in September 2019 as part of Volunteerism Month for Wells Fargo Bank employees. She joined the board shortly after and has been an active, loyal supporter ever since. She was often the first face you would see if you visited us at Solano Town Center mall. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the board as a financial analyst with more than 30 years experience in finance and operations. She is passionate about supporting and encouraging students to learn beyond their own expectations and contributes to our youth program by developing customized content and fun learning activities to help students develop a love of learning beyond the classroom.
Natalie Woodard (Director) is a passionate advocate for child and adult education having volunteered in school PTA activities and local non-profit adult literacy programs over the years. These experiences gave her a deep appreciation of grass-root efforts to provide educational awareness and opportunities to under-served communities. A recently retired Chevron Operations Manager, she has lead problem-solving teams and worked in engineering, regulatory, health, safety, environmental compliance, quality management, risk analysis, auditing and process improvement facilitation over her 30-year career. Natalie has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University and lives in Castro Valley with her husband James. Natalie is actively engaged in planning and coordinating fund-development options to increase financial and in-kind resources for the organization.
